People at churches I’ve attended are hypocrites, so am I wrong to worship at home? The Rev. Justin Hoye, pastor at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kansas City: Wrong? No. Missing out? Yes. Houses of worship provide a gathering for those who are sick, wounded and openly in need of forgiveness, nourishment and direction. In addition, a Catholic professes that in liturgical action we encounter Jesus Christ in a way we do not on our own. Sunday, May 29, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Last Sunday, while going through 1 Corinthians 14, we had a question about whether or not women should be allowed to speak in the church. So, this Sunday we went back through 1 Corinthians 14 and discussed the issue. 1 Corinthians 11:3  -  the order of headship... God --> Jesus --> Man --> Woman; the man is the woman's head covering *** See Genesis 3:16 *** Isaiah 3:12  -  a prophecy being fulfilled today where children are oppressors and women are ruling and we are being destroyed *** During WWII, while the men went to war, the women worked to make supplies for the military and to provide for their families. The problem with this is that, after the war, the women never came back home.
