In the even the darkness came in. One warned David of the sin ahead, but he did not listen Was Bathsheba the victim? If Bathsheba truly loved here husband Uriah, would she have put up a fight even at the risk of her own life? The consequences didn't only affect them, but others who now had cause to blaspheme God. David and Bathsheba repented and God blessed them with another son, Solomon. Proverbs 31:1-31 Lemuel is a symbolic name for Solomon. Proverbs 31 was what Bathsheba taught Solomon, her son. "Prophecy" is the burden, tribute or desire that Bathsheba wanted Solomon to have. Bathsheba taught Solomon out of personal experience. Stand fast... let your yea be yea and your nay be nay (Matthew 5:37). Quit you like men... quit means to be brave and act manly. Be strong... be strong and courageous (Deuteronomy 31:6) 1 Peter 3:1-7  -  Conversation means conduct and lifestyle. Today, we have turned these verses around and gone to the wrong extreme. Women are getting and doing what ever they want and men no longer stand up, but bow down to the wife. A woman who is godly and lives according to God's Word will win over their wayward husband. Isaiah 3:1 - 4:2  -  The men are refusing to rule and the women who are ruling are causing them to error and the children are oppressing. Sunday, October 23, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Jesus' Name is "The Word of God" Revelation 19:13  -  read the whole chapter and see that Jesus is called the Word of God John 1:1  -  the Word (Jesus) was with God and is God John 1:14  -  the Word (Jesus) was made flesh and we beheld His glory as the only begotten of the Father 1 John 5:7  -  the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost are one (a.k.a. the Trinity) NOTE: If you don't use the King James Version, you may not have this verse. Sunday, May 29, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Last Sunday, while going through 1 Corinthians 14, we had a question about whether or not women should be allowed to speak in the church. So, this Sunday we went back through 1 Corinthians 14 and discussed the issue. 1 Corinthians 11:3  -  the order of headship... God --> Jesus --> Man --> Woman; the man is the woman's head covering *** See Genesis 3:16 *** Isaiah 3:12  -  a prophecy being fulfilled today where children are oppressors and women are ruling and we are being destroyed *** During WWII, while the men went to war, the women worked to make supplies for the military and to provide for their families. The problem with this is that, after the war, the women never came back home.
