Letting the Word of Christ Dwell in You Richly

Sunday, March 6, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert " Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3  -  if you put your faith in the Word you will be tried but don't be troubled or shaken *** Think of the Word of God as the "last will and testament" of a loved one. Usually, that last will of a loved one who has passed away is held as precious to that family members who read it and the family has a desire to fulfill their loved one's will. The Word of God should be the same way, with a desire to fulfill God's will. *** John 1:1,14  -  The Word is God and the Word became flesh... which is Jesus. 1 John 5:7  -  the Father, Word (Jesus), and Holy Ghost are one Revelation 19:13  -  Jesus is called the Word of God Hosea 4:1-6  -  Because the people have no desire, no heart, for truth (th

Who is The Son of Perdition?

Sunday, February 27, 2011 Led by Dennis Jeffries The word "perdition" means damnation, therefore, the son of perdition, or damnation, leads people to spiritual damnation. The following scriptures will explain more about who the son of perdition is and what he will do. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17  -  see the references below for a verse by verse exlplaination verse 1  -  speaking to believers about the Lord's return; the resurrection... not the "rapture", the word rapture does not exist in the scripture. verse 2  -  don't be worried about Christ's return; if you are worried, perhaps you need to examine yourself because if you don't know Jesus you should be afraid of his return verse 3  -  don't be deceived, read the word of God for yourself (NOTE: read 2 Timothy 4:3-4 and Acts 17:11) ; the falling away is happening right now with the lukewarm churches and watered down Gospel; the "man of sin" is the son of perdition and Jesus won't
