He gave apostles, teachers, pastors, etc. for the perfecting of the saints and edifying of the body that they be not tossed to and fro. Speak with edification that you may minister grace to the hearers. Grieve not the Spirit by going back to the "old man". 2 Peter 3:18 Grow in Grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Greek definition of Grace = the divine influence upon the heart, and it's reflection in the life; including gratitude. The man did not know who it was that healed him until later when Jesus revealed himself to him. Acts 3:1-8 Does it seem weird that Peter and John could heal the lame man? They didn't have money, but they did have they gave... the power of the holy spirit. We praise God for all the things Jesus did in the scripture, but when it comes to healing we think that God could never do that for us. 1 Corinthians12:1-11 There is a diversity of gifts, but the same Spirit that gives the gifts.
