Sunday, October 21, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What is the Sword of the Spirit for? The sword is for defense and offense. It is used to defend against the enemy as well as to afflict and pierce the enemy. The sword of the spirit is the Word of God... not "the Holy Bible" but the literal Word of God. We don't let the true Word of God in many church buildings. We water it down so that it won't hurt anyone's feelings. John 14:22-26 Those who love Jesus keep His words. This is God's Word... truth. Jesus promised that when He's not physically with us, He will send the Sword to us. When the sword is used, the enemy doesn't have a chance.
