What does it mean to have your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace? Definitions: shod = to bind on  preparation = readiness Gospel = glad, good tidings, proclamation of grace peace = Tranquil state of a soul assured of it's salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God Shoes help to keep our feet from injury and gives more comfort and stability. A person who is wearing shoes can go further in his walk than one who is not wearing shoes.  How are you going to walk in your Christian life without having feet shod with the Gospel? What is the Sword of the Spirit for? The sword is for defense and offense. It is used to defend against the enemy as well as to afflict and pierce the enemy. The sword of the spirit is the Word of  God... not "the Holy Bible" but the literal Word of God. We don't let the true Word of God in many church buildings. We water it down so that it won't hurt anyone's feelings. John 14:22-26 Those who love Jesus keep His words. This is God's Word... truth. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. Sunday, October 7, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What is the Shield of Faith for? The shield is the one part of a soldier's gear that is used for defense. It allows them at times to be still and hide their whole body behind it. Then, when the arrows stop flying, they can get up and be encouraged to charge ahead toward the enemy with boldness. 1 John 5:4-5 Unless you're born of God (born again) you will not overcome the world. He who overcomes the world believes in faith that Jesus is the son of God. If you drop the shield, these things can become big questions in your mind: Am I really saved? Did I lose my salvation? Is Jesus really  the Son of God? Is Jesus the only  way? If we don't have the shield of faith, w
