Testimonies

Please note: We had some technical difficulties when recording Elisabeth's testimony so you will notice that she started her testimony but after a few seconds we had to have her start all over again.

We are including the written testimony so that it may make Elisabeth's audio testimony a little clearer.

On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Eric was sharing his testimony with grandma Vicky on Skype.  Elisabeth was sitting next to Eric as he was talking and I (Corinne) noticed that Elisabeth was crying.  I asked her what was wrong and she said that she didn't know.  She stopped crying and a little while later she started tapping on Eric's arm because she wanted to say something.  Kristin took her aside and asked her what she needed and all she said was "I need to talk to daddy".  She wouldn't tell Kristin what was wrong.  Then I took her aside and finally convinced her to talk.  Elisabeth said that "when daddy was talking to grandma she started to cry and God moved in her heart."  Then the Lord brought to her remembrance a preacher that she heard once who said that "if your heart is full of dust then Satan lives there but Jesus makes your heart clean and then he lives there".  Elisabeth then told me that she needed to pray.  I asked her if she could wait and talk to daddy but she said "No, I need to pray right NOW!".  She got on her knees and asked God to forgive her of her sins and to please come into her heart.  She ended her prayer by asking Jesus to help Ethan because he needed to be saved too.  When she was all done praying she said she felt so much better.  Then she waited anxiously for Eric to be done talking to grandma so that she could tell him what happened.  Elisabeth was one day short of being 5 1/2 years old.

God bless you, Elisabeth, for sharing your testimony. It was beautiful and a special time in your life that you will never forget. You have already shared your concern for your brother, Ethan, knowing that he, too, will need to accept Jesus. How precious!
Love,

Don't Be Naked! - Loins Girt with Truth

The Whole Armor of God This Week: Loins Girt with Truth Click image to enlarge. Sunday, October 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. He did not leave us blind in the Word.  How much are we putting our trust in the Lord? We must put on the truth so we're not ca...

The 10 Most Overlooked People in Your Church

Photo credit: https://careynieuwhof.com/8-reasons-most-churches-never-break-the-200-attendance-mark/ This post is in response to the original article by Anne Peterson. Her post on crosswalk.com can be found here: http://www.crosswalk.com/slideshows/the-10-most-overlooked-people-in-your-church.html?p=2 1. Single People It’s hard to believe that most churches overlook this group of people. In my opinion, this is probably the most regarded group. With churches forming so many “ group” activities, this ranks highest with singles groups, youth groups, teen groups, bible study groups, etc.  The author quotes no scripture here for biblical reference for the single to be administered.   1 Cor. 7:24-40 - these verses deals with both the single unmarried as well as the divorced and single. Paul gives teaching how a man and woman who are born again should desire God first, then marriage, if at all. 2. People With Illnesses If you are not part of an asse...

Cleansing the Leper

Sunday, January 8, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 8:1-4 (also in Mark 1:40-44 and Luke 5:12-14)  -  Why did Jesus, being the way, the truth, and the life, tell the cleansed leper to go back to the priest according to the law in which Jesus was here to fulfill? Leviticus 13:1-8, 32-34, 43-46  -  According to the law, when a man had leprosy he had to go before the priest who would check on him every seven days to see whether he was clean or unclean according to the signs of the disease. Leviticus 14:1-11  -  If the priest found the man was clean from his leprosy, a sacrifice was to be made. A bird was to be killed in an earthen vessel over running water.  Jesus wanted the man to show the priest what He had done for the leper. The priest was supposed to come the the leper and pronounce him clean but instead the man went to the priest to show that he was clean, not only physically but also spiritually. Jesus was the earthen vessel... G...
