From A Manger to the Cross

Sunday, December 25, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Jesus , the Christ child born in a filthy stable! Jesus , the Savior who came to make our filthy hearts clean that He may dwell in us! 2 Corinthians 5:1-21  -  Have we grown so much in love with Christ that we can't wait to leave this flesh and be present with Him? Not in a suicidal mind set but a great expectation to be in His presence. Everyone will come before Him at the judgment seat, both the saved and the lost. The question is, how long will you remain in His presence? When a person is born again, the old man passes away and all things become new. God will finish the work that he has begun in you (Philippians 1:6) and He is the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Read Acts 7 and Acts 9 about Saul (turned Paul) and his conversion from Christ hater and Christian murder to born again preacher full of power and zeal. Behold, all things become new... your desires, passions, and love for Christ and his sacr

Baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire

Sunday, December 18, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Click Here to Listen to a related sermon called "The Candlestick" by Carter Conlon Matthew 3:7-12  -  The religious men came so they could "fit in" with the crowd... they didn't have a true heart to want to be baptized. Fire is zeal and passion. The word fan is referring to a winnowing fan that, when you shake it, it separates the wheat from the chaff. The chaff is burned up in eternal fire and the wheat is ignited with fire and desire for God. Just as a craftsmen uses fire to brand his piece of work, so Christ uses fire to show those who are His because they have a genuine zeal for Him. To be baptized is to be fully covered... you don't get a little fire but enough fire to fully engulf you in Christ. Romans 10:1-3  -  We can go to great lengths to gain our own knowledge and righteousness, but we forget that God is the one who does the work in us. He is the one who gives us fire... we can't do i

These are our only requirements for life, everything else is extra. The rich have much temptation and snares because of there riches. It is important to note the the scripture states that the love of money is the root of all evil. Money in it's self is not evil. It's the love of money that is evil. Money is also the root of all evil. Much evil starts from an issue of money. We are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind but we cannot do this is our first love is money. See Matthew 19:23-26, Matthew 6:24, and Matthew 22:37 Exodus 20:3-17  -  We can look at just the ten commandments, God's Law, and see where money is oftentimes at the
