Resting in the Lord

Sunday, February 24, 2013 Led by Eric Gintert Genesis 2:1-3 The day of rest is to be different (sanctified) from any other day of the week... a day to be refreshed from all work. If God needed a day of rest, why do we think that we don't need a day of rest. God spent the seventh day reflecting on what He had made. Genuine Worship Isaiah 58:1-14 God makes our sins and transgressions known because He loves us. We begin to think that we're righteous because we fast or read the Bible everyday, but that only shows that we're religious. We may be doing religious good works, but your spirit is poor and naked, starving to death. When you get your soul hungry and thirsty, He will fill you and satisfy you. We will then begin to delight in the Lord and ride upon high places. Mark 2:23-28 The sabbath was made for man so that we could rest. It wasn't made so we could make legalistic rules about what you can and cannot do. It's a

"A Better Way to Pray"

Sunday, February 17, 2013 Click HERE to view all video's by Andrew Wommack called "A Better Way to Pray". Prayer is fellowship with God... a personal relationship . Today, our relationship with God mostly consists of asking Him to take care of all our troubles. Adam and Eve has a relationship with God before they had any troubles. This is how our relationship with God should be. A lot of people use prayer as a way to get something out of God instead of using it as a means to commune with God. Revelation 4:8-11 An example of a constant attitude of praise and worship. All things were created for God's pleasure... we were created to have a relationship with Him. One thing that has been ordained by God since before sin or troubles is marriage. 1 John 4:18 When we have a relationship with God in prayer, we have no fear because our love for God is so great! God is always present with us, but we are not always present with Him. I

Process of Sanctification

Sunday, February 10, 2013 Led by Eric Gintert Click here to view the Anger Management video by Andrew Wommack Romans 12:1-3 Jesus is the ultimate living sacrifice! Die to self, only through the strength of the Lord. We have a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit. We need to renew our mind, repent, and change out thinking If you think you don't need verses 1-2, than you are proud and thinking more highly of yourself than you ought. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-18 Sanctification: a process of cleansing & purifying concupiscence: longing for or desiring something fobidden If you don't quickly repent and confess your sins before men, the Gentiles will follow suit and mock you. God has called us to holiness, not uncleanness... the two can't be mixed. We all need to get away from self and get back to the Lord! There is work to be done. For those who have gone on before us into eternity... it is finished. There is nothing more

The Holy Spirit

Sunday, February 2, 2013 Led by Joel Fields Genesis: 1:1-2 The spirit moved upon the fa c e of th e waters... the first act of Cr eation. Genesis 2:7 God breathed into man the breath of life... the spirit Without the breath, man was just dust. There's no power or life until God brings the spirit. Ezekiel 7:1-10 The spirit took Ezekiel to a valley (a very low place), not the mountain top. The bones in the valley were dry. Symbolically, dead with no hope of life in them... complete hopelessness. God does the greatest works in an atmosphere of death and hopelessness, death have hold on God.  In the resurrection of His Son... death in the flesh and made alive in the spirit. The spiritually dead don't have ears to hear, unless it is God who speaks. God opens the graves and brings the dead back to life so that all will know that He is the Lord. "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be
