"A Better Way to Pray"


Prayer is fellowship with God... a personal relationship.

Today, our relationship with God mostly consists of asking Him to take care of all our troubles. Adam and Eve has a relationship with God before they had any troubles. This is how our relationship with God should be.

A lot of people use prayer as a way to get something out of God instead of using it as a means to commune with God.

Revelation 4:8-11
  • An example of a constant attitude of praise and worship.
  • All things were created for God's pleasure... we were created to have a relationship with Him.
One thing that has been ordained by God since before sin or troubles is marriage.

1 John 4:18
  • When we have a relationship with God in prayer, we have no fear because our love for God is so great!
God is always present with us, but we are not always present with Him.

If you're in the presence of the Lord, nothing else matters!

Fields family  -  moving to new house
Mallory family  -  building new house
Bill K.  -  biopsy shows no cancer, does have a treatable lung disease
Kathy - scan showed spot on lung smaller that before... check in three months

Is There Oil in Your Lamp?

Sunday, March 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 25:1-13 The lamp represents your heart. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the virgins heard the announcement that the bridegroom was come, they were excited. Unfortunately only five of them were prepared. For the five foolish virgins, their fire went out when nothing exciting was happening. Don't Be Naked!

The Whole Armor of God This Week: The Helmet Sunday, September 23, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert What is Clothing? Genesis 3:21-22 God clothed Adam and Eve because they sinned. They tried to clothe themselves with leaves, but God had to shed blood for them to be clothed. This was natural/physical clothing. 1 Corinthians 3:1-2 This is a spiritual birth... babes in Christ must be clothed in the Word, Jesus. 1 Peter 2:1-3 Babes in Christ want and desire the Word to grow by. If you're not drinking it, how will you grow? We need to be clothed with the sincere milk of the Word. 2 Corinthians 5:1-4 We want His spiritual clothing now on this earth.
