Matthew 12:36-37 Justified = "just-as-if-I'd never sinned"; render or regard as innocent, righteous, free Idle = useless or barren, lazy, negative particle Words that are spoken with no effect, they have no real purpose. Sunday, July 14, 2013 Led by Eric Gintert Romans 5:1-21 Justified can be understood as saying "just-as-if-I'd" never sinned. Romans 6:1-4 tells us that being justified doesn't give us the liberty to freely sin with no consequence. On the contrary, it poses the question, "why would you want to sin". God forgave sin (singular) : past, present, and future sin. ALL sin! Do you believe God put sin to death? If so, why are you letting sin rule you? The free gift is forgiveness. A gift must be received. Those who let sin overwhelm them have not received the gift of forgivness. God didn't wait for us to be good so that He could die for us... it never would have happened if that were the case. He died for us while we were yet sinners . Enemies (those who are not born again) are reconciled to God in that sin was put to death. Because of Christ's death, sin is no longer what we are judged on. Unbelief is what sends people to eternal damnation. ...

He was angry because they were sinning against God. We too should be angry when we see someone doing something ungodly. We should have godly anger. Instead, we take our anger, which is and emotion, and turn it into action that causes us to sin. Jesus took his anger and turned to heal a man. He didn't lash out by disregarding those around Him. In his anger he did righteousness. Mark 11:15-17 Jesus was angry, not because of broken tradition... He was angry because the religious were defiling His Father's house. Even though there is anger, there is still forgiveness. Even though there is forgiveness, there is still discipline. There must be an equal balance (Proverbs 11:1). If God is love then God must hate. Sunday, March 4, 2012 Led by Joel Fields Mark 11:13-26 vs. 13-14   -  Jesus was looking for fruit on the fig tree but all He found was fig leaves. The season was not yet come. Hosea 14:8  -  Our fruit is found only in the Father... we can only bear fruit because of Him and for His glory. John 15:8  -  The sign of a true disciple is one who bears much fruit. Herein is the Father glorified. When Adam and Eve sinned, they covered themselves in fig leaves... God didn't find any righteous fruit in them. We all go through seasons of drought and God has to bring the refreshing rain so that we will produce fruit again.   vs. 15-19 - Jesus cast out the men who had made His Father's house a den of thieves and perverted the temple of God.   When Jesus came to this temple all He saw was fig leaves... there was no fruit there so He cast them out... they were useless to Him. Then we need to remind Satan the very same thing! If Satan doesn't have you doubting your salvation does he have you doubting something else? Knowing that God has given us this day, let us not put our worries on everything but rejoice in Him that He has so blessed us. Rejoicing in the blessings of Lord instead of dwelling on ourselves. These sum up the whole law and all the prophets. Exodus 20:3-17  -  The Ten Commandments, a.k.a. the law. Commandments 1-4 are the same as "Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind" and commandments 5-10 are the same as "Love your neighbor as yourself".
