A Reminder for Satan

Sunday, September 4, 2011
Led by Eric Gintert
  • Psalm 118:24  -  When we're going through trials and temptations, we need to be reminded that we're children of God and that He loves us more than everything that He created. Then we need to remind Satan the very same thing! If Satan doesn't have you doubting your salvation does he have you doubting something else? Knowing that God has given us this day, let us not put our worries on everything but rejoice in Him that He has so blessed us. Rejoicing in the blessings of Lord instead of dwelling on ourselves.
  • James 1:1-5  -  Count it joy when you fall (meaning to be surrounded with) diverse (many) temptations. When you mess up, shake the dust from your feet and move forward (Matthew 10:14) The trying of our faith works patience in us. And if you lack, then ask of God and He will give it to you.
  • James 4:6-10  -  When your not feeling encouraged in the Lord of on fire for God an Satan beats up for it, remind Satan that you are a child of God! Resist the Devil, humble yourself before God and submit to Him, an Satan will flee from you. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Go to God, cleanse your hearts and purify your minds... don't crawl in to the fox hole and listen to Satan tell you how filthy and dirty you are... but crawl to God and let Him cleanse you.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:11-13  -  God will not allow you to be tempted more than you are able to endure. He will make a way to escape the temptation. There is no temptation that other people have already been through.
  • 2 Peter 2:9  -  Remind Satan how that God knows how to deliver His people out of temptations
  • Luke 10:18-19  -  Remind Satan how God gives us the power to endure that nothing shall by any means hurt us.
  • 1 John 1:8-10  -  Remind Satan that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us!
Read Psalm 34 for encouragement this week!

Don't Be Naked! - Loins Girt with Truth

The Whole Armor of God This Week: Loins Girt with Truth Click image to enlarge. Sunday, October 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. He did not leave us blind in the Word.  How much are we putting our trust in the Lord? We must put on the truth so we're not ca...

Freaking out in Times of Peace

Sunday, June 24, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Encouragement from the Lord that He is our rock and fortress, He is our peace in the storm... so stop FREAKING OUT! :-) Psalm 3:1-8 The enemy is not necessarily people coming against him, but powers and principalities (spiritual warfare). The battle is often in the mind with doubt, depression, etc. This is why we are commanded not to be fearful of the one who destroys the body, but the one who destroys the soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) David knew that God was his shield and strong tower, his protector. Matthew 8:23-27 In the midst of the storm, Jesus was sleeping in the bottom of the boat. Even when everyone else was freaking out, Jesus was at peace. Peace was right their in the ship with them, and they were freaking out! Jesus rebuked them saying, "Why are ye fearful, o ye of little faith?" Prayer Requests Fields Family  -  house to rent Joel F. mom & dad  -  mom going through 4 surgery...

Is There Oil in Your Lamp?

Sunday, March 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 25:1-13 The lamp represents your heart. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the virgins heard the announcement that the bridegroom was come, they were excited. Unfortunately only five of them were prepared. For the five foolish virgins, their fire went out when nothing exciting was happening. Then, when the excitement came, they didn't have enough oil to get the fire started again.  The five wise virgins knew that they couldn't give the oil (Holy Spirit) to the other women. You can live your life however you want, like the foolish virgins did, and expect to get right with God at the end of your life after you've done everything you wanted first. It's too late at that point because the door was shut. Matthew 24:36-39 The last days will be like it was in the days of Noah. Evil imaginations in the heart of man was (and now is) rampant on earth. Genesis 7:1,16 God called Noah and his family int...
