Led by Eric Gintert

Ephesians 6:10-18
  • The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us.

What does it mean to have your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace?

Definitions:
  • shod = to bind on
  • preparation = readiness
  • Gospel = glad, good tidings, proclamation of grace
  • peace = Tranquil state of a soul assured of it's salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God
Shoes help to keep our feet from injury and gives more comfort and stability. A person who is wearing shoes can go further in his walk than one who is not wearing shoes.
How are you going to walk in your Christian life without having feet shod with the Gospel? How will you walk, talk, live, etc? Why do you do what you do?

The Majority DOES NOT Rule!

Matthew 7:13-14
  • The word strait means narrow; few will walk in the strait way which leads to life, but many will walk in the wide way which leads to death.
  • The strait way is the Word of God that leads to life. Family or friends may walk away from you, but will you continue on the narrow path? When you're in the world and asked a reason of the hope within you, are you will to stand on the Gospel and face rejection from the world? Do you have your feet shod with the preparation (readiness) to proclaim the Gospel of peace?
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15

Spiritual Feet Get Wore Out Too!

John 13:4-17
  • Here we see Jesus giving the apostles rest, encouraging them to do likewise to their brethren as they become wore out in the trials of the world.
Proverbs 27:17
  • Iron sharpens iron... When one brother/sister's feet are wore out through trial the brethren come and encourage them and encourage them to get back up and keep going.
We need to wake-up and realize that maybe our feet have become calloused and we need to be washed. When Jesus tried to wash Peter's feet, he resisted. We need to humble ourselves and have our feet washed and renewed.
Isaiah 52:1-15
  • AWAKE spiritually all you who are born again! Put on the whole armor of God and the unrighteous shall no longer have victory over you.
  • The world had a hold on us, but god delivered us and took care of us in the wilderness.
  • Those who walk and endure, spreading the good tidings of peace are beautiful to God.
  • Don't associate with the world, doing what they do, but go out and spread the gospel of Jesus to them. God will go before you and guard from behind you (the meaning of "rereward").
Our King who leads the battle is Jesus Christ our Lord. Everyone will hear from this king, the dumb, the deaf, and the blind... they will all see and hear.
Read about how Helen Keller (dumb, deaf, & blind) knew God before she had every heard of his name or was taught about Him.

"And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." Matthew 10:12-14
When you go and people don't receive the Gospel you share, go out and wipe the dust off your feet.

Don't Be Naked! - Loins Girt with Truth

The Whole Armor of God This Week: Loins Girt with Truth Click image to enlarge. Sunday, October 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. He did not leave us blind in the Word.  How much are we putting our trust in the Lord? We must put on the truth so we're not ca...

Freaking out in Times of Peace

Sunday, June 24, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Encouragement from the Lord that He is our rock and fortress, He is our peace in the storm... so stop FREAKING OUT! :-) Psalm 3:1-8 The enemy is not necessarily people coming against him, but powers and principalities (spiritual warfare). The battle is often in the mind with doubt, depression, etc. This is why we are commanded not to be fearful of the one who destroys the body, but the one who destroys the soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) David knew that God was his shield and strong tower, his protector. Matthew 8:23-27 In the midst of the storm, Jesus was sleeping in the bottom of the boat. Even when everyone else was freaking out, Jesus was at peace. Peace was right their in the ship with them, and they were freaking out! Jesus rebuked them saying, "Why are ye fearful, o ye of little faith?" Prayer Requests Fields Family  -  house to rent Joel F. mom & dad  -  mom going through 4 surgery...

Is There Oil in Your Lamp?

Sunday, March 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 25:1-13 The lamp represents your heart. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the virgins heard the announcement that the bridegroom was come, they were excited. Unfortunately only five of them were prepared. For the five foolish virgins, their fire went out when nothing exciting was happening. Then, when the excitement came, they didn't have enough oil to get the fire started again.  The five wise virgins knew that they couldn't give the oil (Holy Spirit) to the other women. You can live your life however you want, like the foolish virgins did, and expect to get right with God at the end of your life after you've done everything you wanted first. It's too late at that point because the door was shut. Matthew 24:36-39 The last days will be like it was in the days of Noah. Evil imaginations in the heart of man was (and now is) rampant on earth. Genesis 7:1,16 God called Noah and his family int...
