2 Samuel 11:1-5, 26-27, 12:10-14, 24
- David & Bathsheba were both being idle. The were not in the place they should have been.
- In the even the darkness came in.
- One warned David of the sin ahead, but he did not listen
- Was Bathsheba the victim?
- If Bathsheba truly loved here husband Uriah, would she have put up a fight even at the risk of her own life?
- The consequences didn't only affect them, but others who now had cause to blaspheme God.
- David and Bathsheba repented and God blessed them with another son, Solomon.
- Lemuel is a symbolic name for Solomon.
- Proverbs 31 was what Bathsheba taught Solomon, her son.
- "Prophecy" is the burden, tribute or desire that Bathsheba wanted Solomon to have.
- Bathsheba taught Solomon out of personal experience.
- The only way Bathsheba could have taught this was through true repentence.
- "Buildeth" means to obtain children.
- "House" means especially family.
- "Down" means break or destroy.
- "Hands" means power.
