Led by Eric Gintert
Is it possible to be born again and then somehow lose your salvation? What does God say about the security of the believer?
- Matthew 13:18-23 - The Parable of the Seeds... The first three seeds were never born again... they were unfruitful and didn't last... they had good works but no real fruit. The las see is the only one who was fruitful and thereby born again. (see also Mark 4 and Luke 8)
- Luke 3:7-8 - Don't show one time repentance... show continual repentance in your life... show your intimate relationship with Jesus.
- John 11:24-26 - If you can lose your salvation why does Jesus say that those who believe will never die? If you lose your salvation it means that you could die.
- John 4:11-14 - Those who drink of Jesus will never thirst again but shall "be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life".
- John 10:24-31 - Jesus gives eternal life and you can never be plucked out of His hand... and therefore you can never perish
- John 6:36-40 - Jesus will lose nothing that God has given him
- Ephesians 4:30 - "... Ye are sealed unto the day of redemption"... Jesus will open you as an envelope at the day of redemption; when you grieve the Holy Spirit you start sounding and acting like the old man but you have a piercing in your heart from God saying that you are in sin.
- Psalm 51:12 - David grieved God and asked for the joy of salvation to be restored unto him... he didn't ask for salvation to be restored unto him.
- John 17:12, 14 - Jesus has kept us and none of us are lost
- Philippians 4:7 - "Keep" means to guard or protect/stay... the peace of God shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ.
Something to Think About:
God's siren is going off that the time of the end is near... is anyone listening? Our president recently stated that our country was headed toward a "Financial Armageddon" if our national debt ceiling is not raised. The siren is sounding... can you hear it?
