Can We Lose Our Salvation?

Sunday, July 17, 2011
Led by Eric Gintert
Is it possible to be born again and then somehow lose your salvation? What does God say about the security of the believer?
  • Matthew 13:18-23  -  The Parable of the Seeds... The first three seeds were never born again... they were unfruitful and didn't last... they had good works but no real fruit. The las see is the only one who was fruitful and thereby born again. (see also Mark 4 and Luke 8)
  • Luke 3:7-8  -  Don't show one time repentance... show continual repentance in your life... show your intimate relationship with Jesus.
  • John 11:24-26  -  If you can lose your salvation why does Jesus say that those who believe will never die? If you lose your salvation it means that you could die.
  • John 4:11-14  -  Those who drink of Jesus will never thirst again but shall "be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life".
  • John 10:24-31  -  Jesus gives eternal life and you can never be plucked out of His hand... and therefore you can never perish
  • John 6:36-40  -  Jesus will lose nothing that God has given him
  • Ephesians 4:30  -  "... Ye are sealed unto the day of redemption"... Jesus will open you as an envelope at the day of redemption; when you grieve the Holy Spirit you start sounding and acting like the old man but you have a piercing in your heart from God saying that you are in sin.
  • Psalm 51:12  -  David grieved God and asked for the joy of salvation to be restored unto him... he didn't ask for salvation to be restored unto him.
  • John 17:12, 14  -  Jesus has kept us and none of us are lost
  • Philippians 4:7  -  "Keep" means to guard or protect/stay... the peace of God shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ.

Something to Think About:
God's siren is going off that the time of the end is near... is anyone listening? Our president recently stated that our country was headed toward a "Financial Armageddon" if our national debt ceiling is not raised. The siren is sounding... can you hear it?

Don't Be Naked! - Loins Girt with Truth

The Whole Armor of God This Week: Loins Girt with Truth Click image to enlarge. Sunday, October 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. He did not leave us blind in the Word.  How much are we putting our trust in the Lord? We must put on the truth so we're not ca...

Freaking out in Times of Peace

Sunday, June 24, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Encouragement from the Lord that He is our rock and fortress, He is our peace in the storm... so stop FREAKING OUT! :-) Psalm 3:1-8 The enemy is not necessarily people coming against him, but powers and principalities (spiritual warfare). The battle is often in the mind with doubt, depression, etc. This is why we are commanded not to be fearful of the one who destroys the body, but the one who destroys the soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) David knew that God was his shield and strong tower, his protector. Matthew 8:23-27 In the midst of the storm, Jesus was sleeping in the bottom of the boat. Even when everyone else was freaking out, Jesus was at peace. Peace was right their in the ship with them, and they were freaking out! Jesus rebuked them saying, "Why are ye fearful, o ye of little faith?" Prayer Requests Fields Family  -  house to rent Joel F. mom & dad  -  mom going through 4 surgery...

Is There Oil in Your Lamp?

Sunday, March 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 25:1-13 The lamp represents your heart. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the virgins heard the announcement that the bridegroom was come, they were excited. Unfortunately only five of them were prepared. For the five foolish virgins, their fire went out when nothing exciting was happening. Then, when the excitement came, they didn't have enough oil to get the fire started again.  The five wise virgins knew that they couldn't give the oil (Holy Spirit) to the other women. You can live your life however you want, like the foolish virgins did, and expect to get right with God at the end of your life after you've done everything you wanted first. It's too late at that point because the door was shut. Matthew 24:36-39 The last days will be like it was in the days of Noah. Evil imaginations in the heart of man was (and now is) rampant on earth. Genesis 7:1,16 God called Noah and his family int...
