Led by Eric Gintert
- Romans 5:17 - Sin came into the world by one man's disobedience (Adam) but many are made righteous by one man's obedience (Jesus)
- See 1 Corinthians 15:45-46
- See Proverbs 22:6... a child doesn't have to be taught how to be disobedient, he must be taught how to be obedient
- Philippians 2:5-8 - This is the very thing that got Jesus in trouble with the world. (See John 1:46) Jesus never sought recognition, in fact, He told people not to say anything about miracles He had done for them. (See Mark 5:38-43) Jesus took the form of a servant and humbled Himself and became obedient unto death. (Matthew 26:39) Jesus came to do the will of His Father in Heaven.
- Hebrews 5:5-9 - Christ glorified not Himself; He did not come for a title... High Priest, Pastor, Youth Director, etc.
- John 14:23 - To keep means to stay, guard, and protect. We are commanded to protect and guard God's Words “if” we love God.
- See John 18:1-11... Peter desired to guard and protect Jesus in the garden. We should have this same love of the Father to guard His Word in our hearts.
- 2 John 6 - The definition of love is that we walk after God's commandments (His Word).
- Ephesians 6:11-17 - Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be protected by God from the wiles of the Devil. We are to protect ourselves with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
- Remember that if the world hates you, it hated Jesus first. See John 15:18.
- John 15:7 - When we're obedient unto the Lord, He will give us as we have asked according to His will.
- Romans 12:1-2 - We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, which is our reasonable service.
