Every Knee Shall Bow, Every Tongue Confess, That Jesus Christ is Lord

Every knee shall bow
Every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord!"
  • Philippians 2:5-11  -  "Let this mind be in you...." that all shall proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord... not Allah, Buddha, etc.... but Jesus is Lord. Though every knee will bow, not all will bow out of reverence but because they will have no other choice... they must surrender to Christ.
    • Also read: Romans 12:2... "be transformed by the renewing of your mind..."
  • Revelation 20:1-7  -  Satan will be bound and unable to tempt or deceive and therefore, some will submit only because there is no other option. The truly reverent servants of God will be revealed when Satan is loosed for a season and His servants continue to bow in reverence.
  • Isaiah 45:1-25  -  Even the old testaments shows how one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  In verse 14 we see that even in the case of a literal king, some will bow in chains, being forced to do it... the same will happen with Jesus.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus This Week: Darkness Sunday, November 4, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Who is Jesus to You? Savior? What does that mean? Savior from what? Lord? What does that mean? What does it mean to be Lord? We need to be lightened! Psalm 34:1-5 "They" (in verse 5) are the humble who want to exalt the name of the Lord. "Him" is the Lord.
