Led by Eric Gintert
- 2 Corinthians 11:1-15 - Don't let your minds be corrupted. The serpent beguiled Eve with flattery and lies (he corrupted her mind). He didn't come with something that outwardly looked bad or evil...
- 1 Timothy 1:4 - We are not to give heed to fables that don't edify us in godliness.
- 1 Timothy 4:6-7 - Do not give heed to wives fables.
- Titus 1:9-14 - Guard your mind against fables.
- Matthew 4:8-10 - Satan tried to tempt Jesus by saying he could give Him every thing. As the prince of this world, Satan had the right to give Jesus everything... IF He bowed and worshiped Satan. Satan tempted Jesus to imagine that He could have everything of this world
- Genesis 1:1,3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26 - Imagination isn't bad in it's self... God imagined the creation of this world and found that every thing He made was good
- Genesis 6:5 - Imagination can be bad... the imaginations of the thoughts of their hearts were only evil continually and therefore, God destroyed the world with a flood.
But, Jesus told stories (parables).... and they were for the edification of spiritual things.
- Philippians 4:6-8 - we are commanded to think on these things, not fables, fariy tales, etc.
- Ephesians 5:14-21 - think on psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
- Romans 1:18-27 - We've come to an age where we no longer worship the Creator, but the creature... animals, Easter bunnies, etc.
WE'VE REPLACED CHRIST!
