Led by Eric Gintert

Matthew 9:35-38
  • They began to faint in heart... become weak and weary.
  • Jesus had compassion on them.
  • What kind of "employer" wants employees who have pity parties all day long... how can he use that person?
  • When we're in pity parties, we aren't focused on the task at hand, we're not laborers.
    • We need to be like this just man... "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again..." Proverbs 24:16
Matthew 10:1-14
  • Freely ye have received, freely give!
  • Jesus gives power... we don't tell Him to "give me"... He comes to us and blesses us with a gift.
  • Jesus will equip His servants to accomplish His will and do what is necessary. Come just as you are.
  • He doesn't require any additional expense... He takes us as we are and equips and qualifies us for the job.
  • We say "Go out..." to raise money for missions, etc, but Jesus says "I will equip you".
  • Why is America so concerned with going to other nations when we are the most deficient? we need them to come here!
  • We look at God and say "Here's what I'm gonna do... now bless it!"
  • We don't have to be qualified for the job, He qualifies us!
  • God sent them to the lost sheep, which means it's not always going to be easy to reach them.
  • We will be treated in the same manner that they treated Jesus.
  • Jesus didn't charge or test them for the job... He freely gave them the tools necessary.
  • As servants, we go to the lost empty handed and seek God for His power. We receive His power freely and then freely give to the lost.
  • Where is our "House of Israel"? Our Homes! We must first start in our homes to our families and then go out to those around us.
  • Parents must share God's gift with their children. Raising them by the demonstration of serving others.
  • Grandparents know they have done their job correctly by seeing how their children raise their grandchildren.
Matthew 25:15-30
  • The lord of the servants gave freely of his substance.
  • The servants took what their lord gave them and increased it, but one servant took that gift and hid it.
  • The one who did not freely give of his gift what cast away into outer darkness.
John 3:16
  • He FREELY GAVE Jesus to us
  • Jesus freely gave himself to the cross.
    • "Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none. Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year." John 18:7-13
John 17:2, 4, 6-8, 12, 14, 18

  • God freely gave power to Jesus and He freely gave Eternal Life to us
  • Jesus gave to us what God gave to Him.

Don't Be Naked! - Loins Girt with Truth

The Whole Armor of God This Week: Loins Girt with Truth Click image to enlarge. Sunday, October 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God is meant to protect us, that we may be able to stand against the powers and principalities that come against us. What are the Loins Girt about with Truth for? The loins help you to stand. They give you support to stand. They help you to get up when you've fallen. John 8:31-32 The truth makes you free and you'll know His disciples because they continue in His Word. John 14:6 Jesus is the  way, the  truth, and the  life. He is NOT a  way, a  truth, or a  life. Hebrews 13:8-9 The truth of Jesus does not change. Don't be carried away with diverse and strange doctrines. The truth is being trodden down in our day and age. He did not leave us blind in the Word.  How much are we putting our trust in the Lord? We must put on the truth so we're not ca...

The 10 Most Overlooked People in Your Church

Photo credit: https://careynieuwhof.com/8-reasons-most-churches-never-break-the-200-attendance-mark/ This post is in response to the original article by Anne Peterson. Her post on crosswalk.com can be found here: http://www.crosswalk.com/slideshows/the-10-most-overlooked-people-in-your-church.html?p=2 1. Single People It’s hard to believe that most churches overlook this group of people. In my opinion, this is probably the most regarded group. With churches forming so many “ group” activities, this ranks highest with singles groups, youth groups, teen groups, bible study groups, etc.  The author quotes no scripture here for biblical reference for the single to be administered.   1 Cor. 7:24-40 - these verses deals with both the single unmarried as well as the divorced and single. Paul gives teaching how a man and woman who are born again should desire God first, then marriage, if at all. 2. People With Illnesses If you are not part of an asse...

Is There Oil in Your Lamp?

Sunday, March 14, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Matthew 25:1-13 The lamp represents your heart. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the virgins heard the announcement that the bridegroom was come, they were excited. Unfortunately only five of them were prepared. For the five foolish virgins, their fire went out when nothing exciting was happening. Then, when the excitement came, they didn't have enough oil to get the fire started again.  The five wise virgins knew that they couldn't give the oil (Holy Spirit) to the other women. You can live your life however you want, like the foolish virgins did, and expect to get right with God at the end of your life after you've done everything you wanted first. It's too late at that point because the door was shut. Matthew 24:36-39 The last days will be like it was in the days of Noah. Evil imaginations in the heart of man was (and now is) rampant on earth. Genesis 7:1,16 God called Noah and his family int...
