Ephesians 6:1-4

  • Eli's two sons were provoked to God's wrath because they were not brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. They were perverted reprobates!
  • Many fathers don't even sit with there children in church today, being brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Instead they are cast off to another room.
1 Timothy 3:1-5
  • The home is the template for the church.
  • The pastor must be married with children so that he will know how to handle the issues in the church.
  • The duty and responsibility is on the father.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 10-12
  • Beware lest ye forget what the Lord has done for you when you were in the house of bondage.
  • Tell your children all the day long of who God is and what He has done for you.
Malachi 4:4-6
  • Turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers.

Ephesians 6:14 The breastplate protects the heart and desires. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-9 Your heart represents your desires. Are you desiring your own righteousness or His righteousness? Jude 3 says, "...   ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" yet we're doing the same things as the world. We say that we have our armor on, but really, we're sleeping. Freaking out in Times of Peace

Sunday, June 24, 2012 Led by Eric Gintert Encouragement from the Lord that He is our rock and fortress, He is our peace in the storm... so stop FREAKING OUT! :-) Psalm 3:1-8 The enemy is not necessarily people coming against him, but powers and principalities (spiritual warfare). The battle is often in the mind with doubt, depression, etc. This is why we are commanded not to be fearful of the one who destroys the body, but the one who destroys the soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) David knew that God was his shield and strong tower, his protector. Matthew 8:23-27 In the midst of the storm, Jesus was sleeping in the bottom of the boat. Even when everyone else was freaking out, Jesus was at peace. Peace was right their in the ship with them, and they were freaking out!
