  Sunday, November 27, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert Genesis 19: 1-8  -  Lot was a righteous man. 2 Peter 2:7 calls him "just Lot". How did he know that the men he saw were from God? See Romans 8:16. Are not many men, even church men, condemning homosexuality and in return sending forth their daughters to other perversion such as television, youth groups and being a companion of fools, just as Lot wanted his daughters to do? Genesis 6:1-5  -  The sons of God are those who are born again; the daughters of men are unbelieving daughters. There were unequally yoked relationships happening in Noah's day. And it becomes worse when the daughters fathers willingly give her over to an unequally yoked man with approval. See 2 Corinthians 6:14-15. Just as with Sodom, the sins in Noah's time were also sexual... the ungodly dwelling with the godly in relationships. Sunday, November 20, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert "He is Lord, He is Lord! He is risen from the dead And He is Lord! Every knee shall bow Every tongue confess That Jesus Christ is Lord!" Philippians 2:5-11  -  "Let this mind be in you...." that all shall proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord... not Allah, Buddha, etc.... but Jesus is Lord. Though every knee will bow, not all will bow out of reverence but because they will have no other choice... they must surrender to Christ. Also read: Romans 12:2... "be transformed by the renewing of your mind..." Revelation 20:1-7  -  Satan will be bound and unable to tempt or deceive and therefore, some will submit only because there is no other option. The truly reverent servants of God will be revealed when Satan is loosed for a season and His servants continue to bow in reverence. Sunday, November 13, 2011 Led by Eric Gintert After sharing testimonies of the Lord's work in our lives, we discussed the importance of salvation and baptism. Acts 8:5-40  -  Simon the sorcerer believed intellectually in his mind but not with his heart. His eyes were on the flesh (natural) instead of on God (spiritual). Being baptized and believing with his mind didn't make him saved. The eunuch humbled himself and asked for a guide to teach him and help him understand. Philip now knew that you must believe with all your heart to be born again (which precedes baptism). Matthew 3:1-17  -  The religious people could just be baptized and have salvation. John told them to bring fruits meet for repentance. They needed repentance. Psalm 106:15 We must be careful what we ask for!  God gave the children of Israel a king as they requested but sent leanness to their souls... their king didn't honor God, but disobeyed Him. (1 Samuel 15) God allowed Lot to have his desires of Sodom and Gomorrah, but it did not end well in that city... He sent leanness to Lot's soul. (2 Peter 2:7-8) The Prodigal Son was given all that he asked for but he had leanness in his soul. (Luke 15:11-32) The religious people chose Barabbas (a murder) over Jesus and leanness was sent to their souls. Even Pilates wife was vexed by the unjust treatment of Jesus. He has been given the power to overcome the saints (the born again). We need to put on God's full armor and use God's word to defend ourselves from Satan's fiery darts. Every area of life is being attacked, from the weakest to the strongest... this includes our children. THE WAR IS ON!! John 3:61-40, 47-51  -  God first sent natural food to the children of Israel in the wilderness. This was that bread from heaven called manna.
